It's chimney. Learn to pronounce things correctly before you continue with such an ill-conceived idea.

[He would cross his arms now, but he's still holding that paint so — and though it may seem some thought has been given he really would like to see him try (mostly to watch him fail). But wait did he want coal?]

You do know coal doesn't come from chimneys right?

[There's a moment where he really looks like he's thinking that through. To be perfectly honest, he has no idea where coal comes from. He just knows what Bakugo told him, which was that he should shove Giyu down a chimney.

Or that's what he remembers of the conversation. In truth, Bakugo told him to climb up a chimney, but at this point that doesn't really matter anymore.]

There's still coal in there!

[Presumably.]

[There is no room in Giyu's heart to pity such an uneducated child. But he is willing to correct him. Harshly if need be. And now it seems like it is one of those times. Yes, he is a patient man, does he have his limits. Like anyone else. For now he makes sure speak clearly, but he doesn't raise his voice.]

Have you ever seen a chimney? Let me explain. A chimney is used to carry off smoke. It's a long vertical structure usually found atop buildings. A fireplace may be connected to a chimney. And while a fireplace may contain coal more than likely it's already been burned to ash. So, no coal does not come from chimneys or fireplaces. To obtain coal you have to mine it.

[Or buy it. But he isn't sure if there is any mines here or shops that sell it. Not that he's going to go further into that. He'll let Inosuke figure all that out mostly because he's getting the feeling this boy never listens to anything he has to say.]

[There's silence again while Inosuke processes that. If what the bear is saying is true, then that means the Santa lied. The alternative is that the bear is lying. Usually the tiebreaker would be which one of them he likes better, but he doesn't like either of them, so it's really hard to decide what he's supposed to do about this going forward.

Well, coal or no coal, there's one part about the whole thing that remains true.]

[That was almost exhausting. There was also an inkling of a feeling that he just wasted his time and breath with that whole explanation. Nothing he had said as far as he could tell sank in or was even remotely appreciated not that he was expecting any gratitude. Inosuke declaration is met with a cool disinterested look. Giyu doesn't even blink but he does raise the container with paint.]

Shall I assume you don't want me to repair the rest of your signs?

You can fix the signs and THEN I can shove you in a chimbley!

[At this point, it really does seem like he's getting the word wrong on purpose out of pure spite.]

[He corrects him automatically. Not understanding that there is a possibility that the incorrect pronunciation could be intentional but he looks at the boy evenly. He doesn't say more. Instead he waits for him to start leading in the right direction to the next sign. Which might help Inosuke understand if he said something. But Giyu doesn't.]

THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE GONNA GO, BEAR! RIGHT IN THE CHHHHIMMMMMBLLLLEY.

[He's hopping up and down in anger now. It's amazing that he hasn't tried to attack yet. It's like he's gotten himself so worked up that he's forgotten that he can do something other than yell.]

[His ears hurt from all this yelling. And this boy it seemed was unable to pronounce words properly. Maybe if he tried harder he would finally get it. So Giyu showing more patience than he typically would (because he had more time on his hand than he knew what to do with) would slowly repeat the word for Inosuke.]

Chimney. [Maybe this time he would get it right.]

[It doesn't help. All it does is earn an incoherent scream of rage from Inosuke. He launches himself off the bench, like he intends to tackle Giyu and drag him off to a chimney immediately.]

[Face marked by displeasure. He can't help to think he was wrong to believe the boy's voice was at its most awful before. This here is truly horrific. While he may have attempted to cover his ears seeing now that Inosuke had launched himself at him, Giyu would catch the harpy before using that same momentum to toss him further along in one swift motion. He was trying to help him. He didn't need him getting too close with that shrill voice of his.]

[Right. This is how things started, isn't it? Why he doesn't like the bear in the first place. He's added so many more reasons that the fact that he never liked him to begin with kind of got lost at some point.

This is what Inosuke thinks to himself as he goes sailing across the park.

It's easy enough to get enough control to land gracefully, but that doesn't mean he's happy about it. Even as furious as he is, he knows it isn't wise to press things further.

He also isn't wise.]

GET OVER HERE AND FIGHT ME, BEAR!

[The moment Inosuke left his hold, once he was sailing through the air, Giyu had taken the initiative to step away. Already having turned his back on the harpy he took the first step that would placemore distance between them. Forgetting the idea to fix any signs as he spilled the paint by dropping it along with the paint brush previously.

However after that first step he stops. The cause: the boy's yelling. Fight him? Why would he want to do that. There is something else he should do. Slowly he turns to face Inosuke. There's sourness in his expression. Determination too. And no hesitation despite the horrible yelling as he makes his way towards Inosuke. A sleeve is rolled up. Intentions not so clear but he wasn't going to fight him. No. He was however going to teach him a lesson.]

[He may not have swords (yet), but he does have talons, claws, and that headbutt he's been working on perfecting, so when Giyu starts to approach, Inosuke cackles and lowers his head to charge.

He still hasn't learned. He'll never learn.]

[Completely unfazed. Nor is he intimidated. Giyu stops. He waits. He sees it coming. So Inosuke better be prepared. The moment he charges forward Giyu will stop him with a paw on the boy's head. And if Inosuke isn't careful he will take a hold of him before laying him over his knee. Sorry, but unruly children need spankings. Clearly he isn't fit to be a parent... or an older brother... thank goodness he isn't either one of those things...]

[Getting hold of Inosuke isn't impossible, but keeping a hold on him is much more difficult. Not only is he too flexible for his own good, but he has an extra set of limbs to flail around.

And he sure is flailing.

He manages to wriggle loose and hop up on the bench again.]

HA.

[It would sound more victorious if he didn't sound so irritated. The very nerve of this bear. How dare he.]

[As long as a couple of smacks got the point across; except more than likely they barely had an effect on the boy. Actually it is clear that his attitude hadn't changed at all. And Giyu hadn't felt too inclined to keep him restricted. So between the both of them there was no getting this boy to behave.

And really his interest is minimal tot he point that he isn't even looking at Inosuke as he celebrates his great escape. Instead he is looking down at the spilled paint. Well like any other normal person. Giyu is going to turn to leave, leaving Inosuke by himself on his bench and doing it is whatever Inosuke does.]
